The industrial park: its history, present and role in development
Sárréti Industrial Park was established in 1998 as an extension of the southern industrial area of Szeghalom, covering a total area of 31 hectares. Of this, 11.3 hectares is fully serviced greenfield development land, providing opportunities for further investment. In the same year, the site was awarded official Industrial Park status, and since 1999 SIP Kft. has been responsible for the development, investment organisation and operation of the park.
Our mission is to provide incoming businesses with the conditions required for a rapid start and sustainable long-term operation – whether through the sale of industrial land, the rental of industrial halls or turnkey construction projects.
Why Szeghalom?
Szeghalom is located in the central part of Békés County, alongside Main Road 47, just 60 km from the Romanian border, 50 km from Békéscsaba and 80 km from Debrecen. This location is well suited to businesses connected to domestic supply chains as well as manufacturers and logistics operators serving the Romanian and Eastern Hungarian markets.
The region offers an established industrial environment, a significant textile and metalworking background, and an agglomeration of approximately 40,000 people. Locally available vocational training in industrial and IT fields supports workforce development, while the Free Enterprise Zone provides favourable conditions for investment.

Sárréti Industrial Park offers comprehensive infrastructure, including industrial power, gas, drinking and industrial water, wastewater services, fire-water supply, telephone and internet connectivity. Direct road and rail connections, an industrial siding, and nearby bus and railway stations also support the logistics requirements of businesses operating in the park.
